Meet Pastor Jon

My most important ministry has been and will always be my family. My wife, Lani and I  have been married since 2004 and God has blessed us with six wonderful kids: Evan, Haven, Gracen, Noryn, Ronin, and Meilyn. Lani is the Groups Director at The Way Church and also homeschools all six kids. The kids are each learning how God has uniquely gifted them and called them to practice the way of Jesus, and are having fun doing it. Our family loves being outdoors, hiking, hunting, fishing, and learning about God’s creation, as well as using any excuse to go on another “field trip” to somewhere new.

I have been involved with Gospel-based ministry since high school days helping lead worship and serving in various areas of the church. In college I was a leader in Campus Crusade (CRU), student ministry, and implementing a weekly worship experience. I received my Master’s of Divinity in 2007 from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis,

As I lead at The Way Church my prayer is that individuals, groups, families, communities, and generations of people will be transformed in their understanding of the power of the Gospel of Jesus and that through the power of His Holy Spirit together they will practice the way of Jesus right where God has placed them. In doing this we show gratitude for what Jesus has done and live as a testimonies to the world of the new life we have in Christ.
