WAY KIDS

Partnering With Parents

WELCOME TO WAY KIDS

Way Kids is for kids ages 6 months through 5th grade. As kids grow, we want them to learn how to practice the way of Jesus. Our mission is to connect kids to Jesus through Biblical truths and stories presented in unique and exciting ways within a small group experience. Kids will connect with God through prayer and application of His word, connect with leaders through conversation and activities, and connect with other kids to build strong Christian friendships! The first time your family comes to The Way, meet us at Way Kids Check-In and we will help you register your child and find your way to the kids' rooms.

ABOUT WAY KIDS

6 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS

The Way Nursery provides a safe place for kids ages six months to 3 years old to learn about God. Our leaders practice the way of Jesus together. We practice the way of Jesus by providing safe care, teaching them by reading a children’s book about Jesus (The Very Best Bible Stories by Tim Thornborough & Jennifer Davison), giving them love and attention, and allowing the kids to play and have fun; such as crafts, free play, and music. It is essential for us to be with Jesus and to be like Jesus for the kids to know how loved and valued they are by God.

Nursery
Nursery care is available Sunday mornings from 8:45 am – Noon. Parents can drop off and pick up in the Nursery any time, but must remain on campus. Check in children at the check-in station located at the front of the Way Kids hallway.

Parents Room
A parents room is located at the back of the worship center for parents and children to watch and hear the worship service. Parents can access the nursery from the parents room as well.

3 YEARS TO 5TH GRADE

Check kids in at the check-in station located in the Way Kids area. Families start out in the worship center together. Way Kids will be released before the message begins, or kids may remain in the worship service with their families. Pick up your kids in the Way Kids area.

SAFETY PROCEDURES

Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for all kids and ministry volunteers. Before serving, all Way Kids volunteers, ages 18 and over, are required to have a clear background check report. This includes, but is not limited to, the National Criminal Database, County Criminal records, and the National Sex Offender Registry. Additionally, all Way Kids volunteers are trained in emergency procedures.
