Meet Brooke Cowell
As a child, my family repeatedly encountered this ever-joy-filled pharmacist, Al. One day, I asked my mom why he was always so happy. He responded with a handwritten note, which he kept neatly tucked away in his left chest pocket until we overlapped. The note said: Because Jesus lives in my heart. (This sweet truth was placed in a homemade frame in my room.) The Lord used this encounter as a catalyst for me to get to know Him more and more! 2 Peter 3:18 says: But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. It’s been such an up-and-down adventure ever since – traversing with the Lord and “counting it all joy” is no easy feat, but He equips us every step of the way! Praise God!
The Word tells us, “Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Ps. 23:6). The Lord brought Matt, my sweetheart-husband, and me together, and we were married in 2008. Our family expanded over the next few years with the addition of Mason and Lane, our now teenage sons. Oh, how they both bring Matt and me great joy and love as they reflect the Father’s love!
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord,” from Joshua 24:14, has been the sweetest calling. As a family, we desire to know Him and make Him known. Marriage and parenting are both beautiful ways the Lord provides sanctification. “We are the clay, and you are the Potter. We are all formed by your hand” (Isaiah 64:8). We need YOUR help to do everything. We humbly admit we sin and fall short. We are all a work in progress. Oh, refine us, Father, mold us, and shape us! Have Your way, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Currently, we are experiencing His provision & grace in neat ways. We are grateful for the fellowship & family at The Way Church and for our small group. Watching Mason and Lane engage and help around The Way has been a sweet mercy! Go, Team Jesus, go! God called Matt to use drumming gifts for the Worship Team, and the Lord requested I join as a “support singer” – no power ballads coming from this girl. Ha! Worshiping the Lord corporately pairs well with the tambourine calling – “Praise Him with tambourine and dancing;” (Ps. 150:4a) He specifically placed on my life. God made me passionate about living intentionally for Him, using His words to speak life and “sing praises over everything” (His Word ALWAYS says it better than I ever could). I am thankful He called me to work at The Way Church beside an amazing team! Our family enjoys various activities such as fellowshipping with family and friends, Upper Room Worship Nights & women’s worship nights, hiking, rucking, traveling, hunting, photography, mountain biking, photography, archery, fishing, ATV riding, swimming, pickleball, coffee drinking, walking our dogs, reading, cooking/baking together, learning new things and sharing our smiles/hugs with others.
Glory to God for all the ways He shares His lavish love with us and sustains us in our times of need!
